The three members of Kingfisha hail from the city of Redcliffe.
Situated 30km north of Brisbane, Redcliffe has produced some inspiring music over the years. Here, Kingfisha share there Top 5 artists their hometown has produced.
5. Bee Gees
Just scraping into the Top 5, the Bee Gees are the darlings of Redcliffe with the City Council having spent several million dollars on some ridiculous tribute called Bee Gee Way. Granddad says the money should have been spent on putting a lift in at the local entertainment centre for old and disabled people, but no, Bee Gee Way it is.4. Pughb
A little known, heavy-metal band that only played a handful of gigs. Featuring the guitarist Kevin Babbage who went on to write some very interesting electronic music under the name Scozbor.3. Shane Nicholson
Shane used to play in a covers band called Freak that used to sabotage other bands performances in order to win battle of the band competitions. He married Kasey Chambers and has written a few albums with her.2. Ashkenazi
Mr. Bungle wannabes, didn't really have the technical skill or musical knowledge, but gave it a good crack and wrote some interesting music nonetheless. Had they stayed together they would have made the number one spot for sure.1. RF Brahm
Radical, early '90s outfit that paved the way for Redcliffe musicians making their way into the Brisbane music scene. Featuring an insane frontman, the band rocked many 4ZZZ Market Days and supported some of the biggest bands from that era.Kingfisha Tour Dates
