5 Albums That Magically Make Your Problems Disappear Shared By The Stamps

The Stamps are an indie folk trio from Perth.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Rising stars of Perth's local music scene, The Stamps present incredible folk harmonies similar to that of Boygenius or The Staves.

The trio of Rubina, Scarlett, and Sofia newest single is 'Fairbridge Song', which was written after Fairbridge Festival in 2021 and draws inspiration from the experiences over the weekend.

Ahead of their next live show in early July where they'll launch 'Fairbridge Song', The Stamps share five albums that 'magically make your problems disappear'.

Silk Sonic - 'An Evening With Silk Sonic'

This album is the perfect, post break-up fix, with 'Fly As Me' giving you a much needed ego boost. We are still looking for any other album that produces the same amount of 'stank face' at first listen.

Harry Styles - 'Fine Line'

A 'recap the night album' as a mandatory soundtrack for your walk home with your best friend after a long night out.

Joni Mitchell - 'Hejira'

Mitchell's music travels with the listener, and this album gives you permission to feel. As so beautifully articulated with the lyrics: 'There's comfort in melancholy.'

Carole King - 'Tapestry'

The perfect rainy-day album. Time to bring out the warm, fuzzy blanket.

Fleetwood Mac - 'Rumours'

'Rumours' has transcended its era, turning the band's internal turmoil into one of the most compelling albums to this day. From the variety to its emotional lyricism, it's no wonder why every person knows the words to at least one of the iconic tracks on this album.

The Stamps play Four5Nine (Perth) 2 July. They support Danielle De Silva at Lyric's Underground (Perth) 23 June.
