4ESydney will mark its tenth anniversary in 2024, by presenting a huge ten-week programme of events.
The programme is set to include multi-art form exhibition Beyond The Elements at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre, public talks, workshops, poetry slams and family-friendly activities, hosted across Western Sydney. It all culminates in the 4ESydney HipHop Festival, a free public event in Blacktown.
One of hip hop’s iconic figures, Total Eclipse, will kick things off. The world-renowned DJ and member of ‘90s turntablist group the X-ecutioners will perform at the opening of the multi-format exhibition Beyond The Elements: A Decade Of CommUNITY, Evolution And Authenticity at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre.
Total Eclipse will be joined by Sydney’s DJ D, former DMC World Finalist and current judge on the DMC platform.
The 4ESydney Free Festival is the pinnacle of the event – bringing the heart of Blacktown to life. This event will take over Blacktown’s Main Street and Warrick Lane Precinct, with live music, dance battles, a live graffiti wall, art activations, food stalls, and markets. . . All of which showcase the rich, diverse culture of hip hop.

Key events at the 4ESydney Music Industry & HipHop Sessions forums include The State Of HipHop, panels on hip hop’s role in activism and education; Who’s House? Kid’s House!, an interactive hip hop playground with activities including dance, beat-making DJ workshops and graffiti; and Future Thinking, focused on sustainable careers in the arts, covering income stream, royalties, branding and more.
“2024 marks a major milestone for us, ten years! It’s a surreal but exciting feeling as we look back and reflect on a decade of community and growth, with a platform that has become a cornerstone of hip hop culture in this country,” Festival Director Vyvienne Abla says. “This year’s programme highlights the diversity, creativity, and strength of hip hop culture and the community connected to it. Like always, there is no shortage of talent to pull from, and we are honoured to share this moment with you, and what’s to come over these ten weeks.”
4ESydney is on from 1 October-14 December.
