With The Bennies (in their only QLD performance), The Meanies (last ever national tour), Whoretopsy, Hollow (reformation show), Black Rheno (fresh off a SXSW stint) and Hobo Magic already announced, Brisbane's Dead Of Winter Festival has revealed another bumper crop with 25 more bands added as part of the second announce.
The horror-themed alt-culture event, a mainstay on the Queensland heavy music calendar since 2009, has stepped up to the plate yet again with the addition of 30th anniversary scene veterans The Porkers, femme rock royalty Dallas Frasca, New Zealand's Beastie Boys meets ska-punk party band Night Gaunts (Australian exclusive), Brisbane rock kings Giants Of Science in a one-off show, heavy-buzz bands Tai Sui and Hadal Maw among many others.

The festival will clock out at over fifty acts across five stages for one super-large yet affordable day of entertainment at Brisbane's Jubilee Hotel.

With recent discussions about gender equality in the music industry, Dead Of Winter Festival will feature 40 per cent of the acts performing who have at least one member identifying as female or non-binary.
Music won't be the only entertainment offered with Freak Show Alley showcasing the sword-swallowing, fire breathing, nail-hammering talent of acts such as Heart and Dagger along with burlesque performances by the likes of Lillian Lace and Lilith Revere.

"We've spent months scouring the best possible line-up and are super proud of what will unfold 29 July in Brisbane," Dead Of Winter Festival rep Christian Tryhorn says.
"With some big-ticket items and a mix of genres represented by a host of nationally-touring festival acts, we've also set up regional band heats this year giving hard-working lower level bands a chance to win an opening slot on the bill.
"The Dead Of Winter really is a festival for everyone and we work hard to make all feel included on the day among a horror setting for a bit of added fun."
The event will also feature its zombie make-over booth, horror films, food trucks and night markets.
The Dead Of Winter Festival takes place at Jubilee Hotel (Brisbane) 29 July.
