The live music circus is well on its way to getting started, as restrictions ease and the country opens up to itself. Audiences hungry for a live experience can prepare themselves to be enchanted with Yours & Owls' astonishing line-up packed with talent.
Ten ARIA Awards, six #1 albums, sold-out arena shows and more than 50 platinum accreditations – must be Hilltop Hoods. They've been a consistent live act throughout Australia, Canada and Europe, even bringing hip hop back to its birthplace in the US. They headline the Yours & Owls festivities.
Travel restrictions prevented us all from witnessing breakthrough pop sensation BENEE in 2021. The good news is, there's always next year which means BENEE and her eye-watering statistics and achievements (how's almost ten million Tik Tok videos made to her single 'Supalonely' and the most added song on US top 40 radio sound?) will be hitting our shores to play live.
Hip hop giants Bliss N Eso will bring tracks from their seventh studio album 'The Sun' to life on stage at Yours & Owls. The latest album is a follow-up to 2017's 'Off The Grid', which featured their smash 'Moments' featuring Gavin James, amassing more than 60 million streams across platforms, and received an ARIA for Best Music Video.
Flight Facilities' first release 'Crave You' was the unofficial soundtrack to summer parties back when it was released. The pair has spent the majority of their careers bucking trends in electronic music, and their 2021 release 'Lights Up' marks the beginning of their new chapter. You could say they're back – but they never went anywhere!
Next up are Brisbane's The Jungle Giants, fast becoming an unstoppable musical force. They're known for delivering explosive, high-energy performances and are channelling love, hope and a dance-pop sensibility in their fourth album 'Love Signs'.
Adam and Reuben's well-oiled machine Peking Duk has travelled far beyond Australian borders since its inception. They've performed to sold-out crowds in venues and festivals across the US, UK, Asia and Europe. Now, they're bringing it home post-'Nothing To Love About Love', ready to show Yours & Owls there's plenty to love about Peking Duk.
For several years, Violent Soho played the part of “those kids who don't seem to fit in anywhere” until 2013's 'Hungry Ghost', when they announced themselves to the public's consciousness. Now, five albums into their career, they know not to follow a rulebook written by others.
Back in 1996, in Sydney, Faker was formed. They've made appearances on the ARIA Charts and even reached number five on Triple J's Hottest 100 with 'This Heart Attack'. Speaking of heart attacks, the band announced they had broken up in 2013, but in 2020 put hearts back together by teasing a reformation. Now, in 2022, we're ready for it!
Yours & Owls will be bigger and better than before (quite literally, in a larger site with a larger crowd) for 2022.
