Queensland solo musicians and bands are invited to self-nominate (across 16 categories) for the 2021 Queensland Music Awards (QMA).
Artists and groups who have released new music from 30 November 2019 to 1 December 2020, are eligible to enter (applications close 14 January, 2021).Only artists-bands residing in Queensland are eligible to enter. However, in the case of songwriting teams/ bands, more than 50 per cent of the team must be based in Queensland.
"We are thrilled to be opening entries for the QMAs and to end this year on a high note," QMusic CEO Angela Samut says.
"The past 12 months have been extremely tough on our industry, however there has been such inspiring and groundbreaking music released in 2020 along with creative and unique music videos that we expect the 2021 Awards to be competitive and a night of celebration."

The 2021 QMAs also introduce two new categories: Contemporary Classical and Children's Music.
2021 QMA finalists will be revealed in March, with the awards ceremony to take place at The Fortitude Music Hall (Brisbane) on 20 April.
