The laneways of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley will come alive with a day-long local celebration of music, food, fashion, art and design this winter when Hidden Lanes Festival lands 14 August; and the best part – it's free.
Forced into a year-off in 2020 (thanks COVID), the micro-communities of Winn Lane, Bakery Lane, California Lane and Lucky Lane will come together once more to showcase some of the best food, local crafts and fashion available in South East Queensland.The music line-up has just dropped and features almost 50 bands and DJs headlined by Newcastle's dance-punks RAAVE TAPES, the lush pop adventures of Connor Brooker (of BUGS fame) and the soulful, disco beats of Buttercats.
"Good morning; thrilled to announce I'll be playing the Hidden Lanes Festival in August with some great friends. Come down and hear some new music," Connor Brooker says.
Other line-up highlights include Drop Legs, Perve Endings, Melaleuca, Pocketlove, Nicole McKinney, Lucy Francesca Dron and Eleea. There'll also be a stack of DJs spinning a diverse range of genres and sounds.
Part of Hidden Lanes charm is finding your next fave thing – whether that's a new band, new dining spot, or scoring a knick-knack from one of the market stalls. This is your opportunity to explore all the twists, turns, nooks and crannies of Fortitude Valley's laneways.
