After what can accurately be described as a challenging year, the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) Awards are back for 2021 to honour the best Australian independent recorded music.
The AIR Awards will once again return to Adelaide (the UNESCO City Of Music) in August.
While a majority of the nominations for this year’s proceedings have already been revealed, the nominees for Independent Label have, until now, been unknown.
It was ABC Music who took home the award in 2020.
“Winning Independent Label Of The Year at the 2020 AIR Awards was such an amazing achievement for the team at ABC Music and our artists,” Head of ABC Music, Natalie Waller said of the win. “It is a great honour to win it, especially against such incredible competition.”
Well, the nominees for 2021’s AIR Award for Independent Label Of The Year are. . .
ABC Music, Etcetc, I Oh You, Spinning Top, and UNFD.

The 2021 AIR Awards will be an invite-only event at the Freemasons Hall (Adelaide) 5 August. Indie-Con Australia conference runs 4-6 August.
