With 2020 marking their 20th anniversary, the splendid crew behind Australia's paramount festival destination, Splendour In The Grass, have supplied the birthday candles for you to blow out with an AMAAAAZZIIING line-up reveal that will leave the hardened festival goer rushing back and the freshly emerging next-gen of music lovers gooey at the legs.
So tossing the drum roll to the side, 2020 Splendour will deliver two exclusive Australian performances with THE MAN of the music moment Flume and fellow 2020 Grammy Award-winning, modern hip hop mogul Tyler, the Creator. Then there is the late '90s, earlier '00s guitar-fricken goodness of NY masters The Strokes as well as fellow New Yorkers and early naughties garage, dance-punk rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs. OMG, I need a paper bag!
Oh wait, Midnight Oil will be on-hand to perform their new mini-album The Makarrata Project (which will be released June/ July) alongside 'Ultimate' rapper Denzel Curry and British four-piece psychedelic art-pop rockers Glass Animals.
And that's only the tip of a very long list of indie greats, pioneering producers, Australian rock royalty and a swag of emerging local and international talent that is headed to North Byron Parklands (Byron Bay) 24-26 July, 2020.
If you haven't already you better request time off work stat, 'cause you'd really, really loathe missing out on the action at this year's SITG. Click here to read our review of last year's festival.

'It was 2001. Aussie music fans were sifting through CDs at their local record store, wearing low-rise cargo pants and sporting blonde tips; and an inaugural line-up of 19 acts, headlined by Powderfinger, played to a sold-out crowd of 12,500 people at Belongil Fields on one glorious winter's day at the very first Splendour In The Grass festival.
'The punters loved it and the seed was sown for what would become an iconic, annual pop-culture moment and Australia's biggest celebration of music. It's been one helluva ride and we're only just getting started!' - Splendour In The Grass
