Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After months of deliberation, Queensland Music Awards have collated the finalists for the 2020 edition of the QMAs.

Selected by by over 100 Australian and international music industry figures, the 2020 class of QMA finalists include Busby Marou (who are up for four awards), WAAX, The Jungle Giants, Miiesha, DVNA, Mau Power, Greta Stanley, Osaka Punch, Milton Man Gogh and many more.

Joining the finalists at the QMAs are the Billy Thorpe Scholarship shortlisted nominees, one of which will be awarded the prestigious $10,000 Scholarship on the night.

The line-up of artists performing on the night, already featuring the likes of alt-pop rebels Cub Sport, acoustic roots duo Busby Marou, southside rap group Order Sixty6 and pop femme fatale Jaguar Jonze, now also features the talents of Miiesha, who is nominated in the soul, funk, R&B category.

The 2020 QMAs will also herald a flood of new initiatives, including the inaugural awarding of the Emerging Artist Of The Year Award and the commencement of QMusic's ‘Ones To Watch And Listen’ programme, which will champion Queensland’s breakout artists.

Congratulations to all the 2020 Queensland Music awards finalists. The ceremony takes place at The Fortitude Music Hall (Brisbane) 3 March.
