After making its successful debut in March, Farmer & The Owl Festival drops its incredible line-up for 2020.
Once again, the line-up has been affectionately curated by your favourite artists from the Farmer & The Owl label family of Hockey Dad, Bad//Dreems, Totally Unicorn, The Pinheads, TEES and Tropical Strength.
Leading the pack is UK party unit Hot Chip who bring to the stage their acclaimed new album 'A Bath Full Of Ecstasy'. With a career littered in accolades including Grammy nominations, multiple Mercury Prize nods, several Gold albums and even a feature on 'The Simpsons', Hot Chip are one of the most decorated and much-loved bands in recent memory.
Also from the UK come Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, who have been making extraordinary music since 2009 when they emerged from an obscure corner of the labyrinthine English underground as purveyors of a new and psychedelic take on the rudiments of hard rock and turbo-blues.
Sleaford Mods are one of the most important, politically charged and thought-provoking bands in music today, having stumbled into the music scene in 2013 at a time of political and creative austerity with their breakthrough album ‘Austerity Dogs’.
Known as a drug band with a rock problem, Fat White Family also join the Farmer & The Owl 2020 line-up alongside Weyes Blood, Drab Majesty - the solo project of Deb DeMure, the androgynous alter-ego of LA-based musician Andrew Clinco - plus Miss June from New Zealand and two Aussie acts Body Type and Rebel Yell, with more acts to be announced.
Farmer & The Owl 2020 will again take place within the steel-lined laneways and lush urban parklands of McCabe Park in the heart of Wollongong among the spacious lots and secluded post-industrial alcoves for a day of music consumption and discovery.
