2019 Mullum Music Festival Line-up

Nano Stern headlines Mullum Music Festival 2019.

The much-loved Mullum Music Festival delivers a tasty baker's dozen with their first line-up announcement, with 13 national and international acts to get your tastebuds tingling.

Now in its 12th year, Mullum Music Festival rolls out the green carpet for an extraordinary line-up of local, national and overseas artists playing stages, walking the streets and dancing in halls all over town for four days.

Playing Mullum for the second time, the festival welcomes back Chilean Nano Stern who emerged from the underground punk rock scene to spread his wings with classical and jazz training. His music pays homage to Chilean poetry and music traditions but instills hope in those hungry for social justice.

From South Africa, Mullum Music Festival welcomes the astonishing and unique talent of Sibusile Xaba, touted as the lynchpin in South Africa’s new generation of jazz musicians. KwalZulu-Natal-born guitarist and vocalist, Sibusile Xaba is an acoustic guitar master.

There’s also ARIA favourite Mojo Juju, best known for her breakthrough album 'Native Tongue', she traverses R&B, hip hop and soul, while celebrated Melbourne song-poet Lucie Thorne is heading back to Mullum Music Festival to celebrate the release of her brilliant forthcoming album 'Kitty & Frank'.

Acclaimed indigenous vocalist Emma Donovan and Melbourne rhythm combo The PutBacks come together to perform a concert of hard hitting and heartfelt soul; the music has a gritty uniquely Australian sound, a tour de force de funk and soul.

Joining them on the 2019 roster will be So-Cal quintet Allensworth, UK power trio Z-Star Trinity, pedal steel guitarist Joe Pug, groove purveyors Sunnyside, Zimbabwean born Melbourne based singer-songwriter Thando, Americana singer songwriter Ruby Boots, the collaborative punch of The Wilson Pickers and Canada’s Juno Award-nominated Alysha Brilla.

Known for its relaxed and friendly vibe, diverse programme and New Orleans style street parade, the 12th annual Mullum Music Festival is a family-friendly, whole-town festival that takes place in more than 14 venues throughout the NSW North Coast town of Mullumbimby.

Mullum Music Festival (NSW) is on 11-14 November.
