The Mount Hunter Country Music Stampede rolls back to K Ranch Arena in 2019 for its third annual celebration of country life and country music.
The brainchild of K Ranch Arena owner Mick Kearney and multiple Golden Guitar winner Drew McAlister, Mount Hunter Country Music Stampede presents a blockbuster line-up of top-tier performers, headlined by Aussie rock icons Choirboys.
Choirboys are the epitome of the Aussie pub culture and have been entertaining the country (and the world) for 30 years. With multi-platinum albums and a captivating live show that features hits like ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ and ‘Struggle Town’, they’ve survived and thrived when so many have fallen and faded. To borrow their own words, they’re ‘Never Gonna Die’.
They lead a line-up that also features Melinda Schneider, Adam Eckersley Band, Missy Lancaster, The Pigs, Buddy Goode, Simply Bushed and Cornell & Carr.
Another Aussie music icon, Melinda Schneider is celebrating 40 years in the Australian entertainment industry. In that time she’s become a multi-award winning singer-songwriter, a storyteller, a key-note speaker, a female empowerment activist and the CEO of Mpower Records. With her fourteenth release on its way and a storied history including two sold out performances at the Sydney Opera House, duets with Paul Kelly and Olivia Newton-John and numerous television appearances, Schneider is set to light up K Ranch Arena with unrivalled experience.
Since releasing their debut album in 2014, the Adam Eckersley Band has won two Golden Guitars, released two Top 10 ARIA Country albums and performed hundreds of shows across Australia and Europe. The band is Australia’s foremost proponent of southern rock, mixing country with blues and rock to wow crowds on stage. With their third studio album due late 2019, the band is sure to bring something special to the Mount Hunter Country Music Stampede.
Missy Lancaster is a rising star in the Australian country scene. Her debut album, 'Piece Of Me', reached #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart, #1 on iTunes Country Album Chart and #2 on the ARIA Country Chart. She received nominations at the 2019 Country Music Awards for both Contemporary Album of the Year and Female Artist of the Year, and has performed at festivals around Australia throughout the year, not to mention supporting Adam Brand and Travis Collins.
The Pigs are Australia’s architects of barefoot hillbilly pop. They’ve trotted their way to #1 on the Australian Independent Album Charts with 'Hillbilly Synthesiser', their latest album, and their show will see them play many of their biggest hits from 14 years on the road including tracks ranging from Farnham to Beyonce.
Buddy Goode was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, during the Swinging Sixties, with the decadent period leading to his family’s abject poverty. Despite this, Buddy knew he was destined for stardom and Australia now has the privilege of calling the hilarious comedian its own.
Simply Bushed are a five-piece that perform with a hefty dose of humour and heart, all delivered with an endearing Australian voice. They’re an authentic bush band that refuses to grow up and won’t be left behind. They’re unique style lends itself to an unforgettable act that knows
how to work a festival crowd.
Matt Cornell and Mike Carr combined two long musical histories to form Cornell & Carr. Their first single, ‘Be In The Band’, debuted at #2 on iTunes following its launch in November 2018.
Mount Hunter Country Music Stampede is on at K Ranch Arena (Macarthur Region) 26 October. Click here for tickets and event details.
