The sixth edition of Mojo Burning is set to be the biggest yet when the blues, rock and psych festival returns to Hamilton Hotel in Brisbane next April.
With 30 bands over three stages and 12 hours, Mojo Burning delivers an intense palette of AV stimulus offering punters some of the best names in the business, rising stars and an all out cosmic blowout among friends.
Leading the charge in the first line-up announcement is Greek stoner rock outfit 1000mods along with Aussie mainstays Tumbleweed and The Vasco Era.
Blending heavy rock with psychedelia, 1000mods released their most recent album 'Repeated Exposure To...' in 2016 and has spent much of the past two years touring the album through Europe and North America.
Formed in Wollongong in 1990, Tumbleweed remain proud purveyors of the Australian stoner rock sound. Though they disbanded in 2003, they reconvened in 2009 and released another album in 2013. In 2014, original bassist Jason Curley – one of the three Curley brothers to play in the band – passed away.
Along with the return of The Vasco Era, Mojo Burning also welcomes the likes of Lachy Doley, Hobo Magic, Whoopie Cat and Claude Hay, along with an explosion of local and national artists.
Mojo Burning 2019 is on at Hamilton Hotel (Brisbane) 6 April, click here for tickets and more information.
