Bluesfest in 2019 will play host to the world premiere of The Saboteurs, who have reunited and will be performing in Australia for the very first time.
The Saboteurs return in full force with two singles 'Now That You're Gone' featuring Brendan Benson on lead vocals, and 'Sunday Driver' with lead vocals by Jack White, both released on Jack's Third Man Records label.
The Saboteurs play their first-ever Australian show at Bluesfest 2019, helping close out the iconic festival's 30th anniversary celebrations on Easter Monday. Let's see the Easter Bunny top that one.
The Saboteurs (known outside of Australia as The Raconteurs) is made up of four friends who got together in Detroit way back in 2005. Jack White (The White Stripes), Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler together released two albums, ‘Broken Boy Soldiers’ (2006) and the Grammy Award-winning ‘Consolers Of The Lonely’ (2008), spawning the singles ‘Steady As She Goes’, ‘Salute Your Solution’, ‘Many Shades Of Black’ and ‘Consoler Of The Lonely’.
They join previously announced headliners Iggy Pop, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Paul Kelly, Mavis Staples and many more on what is one of Bluesfest's greatest ever line-ups.
