“We've got a stellar line-up of exceptional artists from all over the world and our own home-grown heroes. From legends like Albert Lee and Tommy Emmanuel, world premieres and unique community engagement events like Resonance and Guitars In Bars, I cannot wait to share and experience this with you all in July and August.”
'The 2018 Adelaide Guitar Festival programme also include Guitars In Bars, with more than 200 gigs expected across the State, and Resonance, where world-class musicians will perform in hospitals, community centres and homes for older people across South Australia from 28 July to 10 August.'
A free guitar expo will be available, providing guests with the opportunity to uncover various handmade treasures. Workshops, artist talks and masterclasses will also be on offer.
“The calibre of artists at this year's Adelaide Guitar Festival is extraordinary across so many genres,” Adelaide Festival Centre CEO and Artistic Director Douglas Gautier says.
“This, combined with the community engagement elements of the programme, make this an accessible, entertaining and world-class event.”
