WAMFest is a celebration of WA's live, local music as well as the culture associated with the creative arts.
We asked the folks at WAMFest to highlight a few of the programmes you should take notice of when the event rolls around in early November.

WAMFest Live Regional tour
We’ve made a big push into the regional world this year, giving most regional acts more than one opportunity to showcase across the weekend; and we do a WAMFest tour, running showcases in regional venues that offer so much to the music communities of WA.
WAMFest and venues in love
We wanted to work with venues this year, give them a party that showcases how special their impact is in the community. We’ve tried to work as closely as we could, utilised a lot of recommendations from some venues, and fitted them with line-ups that match their style.
Feeling pretty lucky to get to take over places like Tetsuo who are a new name on the scene, killer vibes in there. Working with The Court again has been a heap of fun; it’s gonna to be an awesome arvo party in their backyard. And spots like Amplifier, Capitol, The Bird, Hen House Live and Badlands offer so much to the WA music scene; we’ve worked with them to get line-ups that do their spaces justice. And that’s just a handful of the awesome spaces we’ve been able to activate.
WAMFest Friday Live
Sooooo many bands. The El Grotto and Indi Bar double stage line-up is crazzzyyy good. Old Blood, Duncan Saige and so many more. Beach party anyone?

WAMFest Sunday in Bassendean
We're working with the Town of Basso to put on a really cool, little sundowner after the huge Friday and Saturday night. It just so happens to be my home town too, so I can roll out of bed after Lot Party and wander down.
Lot Party
We're in a brand, new venue this year and it has been pretty challenging to put together. It's massive and I'm so excited to see it all pay off. So many amazing bands on the line-up too. I caught Flossy and Sly Withers on Friday and they are both absolutely killing it right now. I can't wait to see them on a big stage.
EVERYTHING
Seriously, this is so hard. There's SO MUCH cool stuff we are doing, so many bands across so many shows and I'm pretty sure I'll need a week's rest after it.

Kiss My Camera
This year the photography competition has gone 100 per cent local, with only shots of WA artists allowed. With higher numbers of entries received, the quality of the shortlisted pics is amazing. You can catch them at an exhibition at The Bird, after our very first Q&A workshop beforehand, as well as screening on the MRA Perth Cultural and Northbridge Piazza screens soon.

A snapshot of some of the best music from the last year, it’s the perfect preview of the goodness to come. Tune in to RTRFM the week of WAMFest when it will be the Feature Album.
Discovering my next fave bands
With over 220 acts playing this year, carefully selected by the dude’s above, WAMFest is my fave time of the year to finally catch sooooo many bands I’ve been hearing great things about. I look forward to a Monday soundtracked by memories of about 50 choice acts.
