This summer Falls Festival celebrate their 25th anniversary with a swag of silver jubilee celebrations planned and a kick-ass line-up brimming with instant memories in Lorne, Marion Bay, Byron Bay and Fremantle.
With no sideshows planned, Flume fronts this year's first announcement of artists; he'll be joined by indie folksters Fleet Foxes, UK pop-rockers The Kooks, US hip hop supergroup Run The Jewels, 'Gooey' stars Glass Animals (no sideshows planned), local dancefloor legends Peking Duk and Australia's favourite brother-sister duo Angus & Julia Stone.
That's not without mentioning Foster The People, Vince Staples, Dune Rats, Confidence Man, The Smith Street Band, Allday, The Jungle Giants, Thundamentals, Methyl Ethel, DZ Deathrays and a host more.
Oh… and Falls will also welcome Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, who'll be promoting his debut solo album, 'As You Were', as well as Australian pub-rock royalty and 'The Horses' singer Daryl Braithwaite. Schweet.
Some changes on the horizon with event organisers revealing their bars will now be cash and pay-wave enabled, leaving drink tokens behind. Cheers!
And with Fremantle’s Kings Square redevelopment in full swing, the second ever rendition of Falls Downtown in WA will take over the Fremantle Oval Precinct.
