Headlining the boutique BYO festival are '90s, punk legends Frenzal Rhomb, Sydney's Andy Bull and New Zealand's Salmonella Dub Soundsystem. Also pumping up the amphitheatre stages will be some of Queensland's best local talent including: Hey Geronimo, Ayla, Mosman Alder, WAAX and Cheap Fakes.
After a forced hiatus last year, due to council permit issues, Red Deer's team are proud to announce they'll be back on the same property in Mount Samson 3 October.
There will be a new limit on the number of campers and vehicles allowed on the grounds, with Festival Director Julian De Maria hoping to have minimal impact on the site and surrounding environment. “We never want Red Deer to be just another overcrowded, money-grabbing festival. We strive to deliver a fresh and relaxed homegrown experience, memorable for its good vibes, mutual respect and sense of soul.”
Staying true to its BYO booze (no glass) and couch philosophy, the festival will include a bar for those who fail to bring enough tinnies. The northside's Party Artworks will once again be hosting crafty workshops.
A frisbee tournament and ping-pong will also be available for those wanting to switch-it-up between dances in the amphitheatre.
An array of food vendors and market stalls will satisfy your hunger throughout the day and night, and of course, the dreaded morning-after pack-up.
Overnight camping and VIP tickets are available, although limited. Day pass holders can catch free shuttle-bus services from Ferny Grove, which will return festival goers to Brisbane CBD after the night's festivities.
The organisers have also partnered with Uber to get you to and from the event.
