10cc Australia 2025 Tour

10cc
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

If you don't like cricket, but love it then you'll be ecstatic to learn 10cc are returning to Australia in 2025.

The pop-rock legends will touch down next winter for a 15-date run that kicks off mid-July in Brisbane before travelling to Gold Coast (two shows), Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra, Albury, Castlemaine, Geelong, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally Perth the first week of August.

Originally mainstays of the 1970s and early '80s, this run of shows features original bassist-vocalist Graham Gouldman, joined by long-serving members, lead guitarist Rick Fenn (a member since 1976) and Paul Burgess, who has been 10cc's drummer for more than 50 years.

The rest of the band features Cliff Richard's music director Keith Hayman (keys, bass, guitar) and Iain Hornal (lead-backing vocals, multi-instrumentalist) who is also a member of Jeff Lynne's ELO.

This tour will see the band play all their hits: 'I'm Not In Love' (featured in 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'), 'The Things We Do For Love', 'Rubber Bullets', 'The Wall Street Shuffle', 'I'm Mandy Fly Me', 'Good Morning Judge', 'Life Is A Minestrone', and of course the best summer vacation song ever, 'Dreadlock Holiday' (come on, sing it now - "I don't like cricket!).

Gouldman puts 10cc's longevity down to the quality and individuality of the band's songs. "They don’t seem to date. We never followed any trend we simple wrote for our own pleasure. The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio today as they ever were shows how true that is."

Only in the country last year, 10cc are in the midst of late-career revival thanks in part to the nostalgia their songs carry for so many. "Year on year we get busier and busier," Graham says.

"It's great, we love touring and playing together and we get on really well. The audiences these days are very gratifying. You get the people you would expect, who grew up with 10cc, but you also get young kids who know the songs too.

"Whether they've discovered 10cc for themselves, via the internet or radio, or just grown up with their parents playing it in the house, I don't know, but we get a great mix of people from the generations."

Tickets on sale from 21 August.
