Melbourne-based artist and producer, m8riarchy follows up her 'Never Drop' EP released earlier in 2022 with another electronic production that sizzles through the speakers.
An invigorating and playful celebration of all things vulnerable, 'Body' journeys through sexuality, self-expression and freedom as m8riarchy channels the likes of Calvin Harris and Robyn's classic dance-pop sound."'Body' is a sex-positive dance-floor banger that explores pleasure and connection," m8riarchy says.
"I wanted to create a euphoric symphony that invites listeners to celebrate the joys of sensuality, sexuality, playfulness and self-expression."
Although her current single, m8riarchy originally wrote 'Body' a decade ago. However, it wasn't till Total Giovanni's Matthew Hadley expressed an interest in producing a track with m8riarchy that she revisited the original 'Body' composition.
"I wrote 'Body' ten years ago and struggled with the production to the point where I had given up on ever releasing it," m8riarchy says.
"Matt expressed interest in collaborating and, given our similar tastes in dance music, it worked out perfectly for us to bring 'Body' to life together."
This weekend (16 July), m8riarchy is part of the line-up playing The Curtains Close, The Final Showdown at The Curtin (Melbourne).
Best known for her vocal collaboration with Shouse on 'Won't Forget You', m8riarchy has shared ten EDM bangers to liberate your body on the dance floor.
