The 53-year-old was responsible for the distribution of 32 and a half pounds of meth; US District Judge Donald Molloy, who sentenced White, called the quantity of meth "extraordinary".
The Great Falls Tribune reports that Walter Jack White was arrested in March when investigators found four ounces of meth, two handguns and $15,000 in cash at his residence. They were originally there to investigate an incident where White's son had fired a gun at his father.
(The real Walter White's son is named Brandon, not Walt Jr or Flynn, and shot at his father because of a drug debt, not because he failed to cook breakfast on time.)
"He ended up getting shot by his son," Judge Molloy said. "Thirty two and a half pounds of methamphetamine, coupled with guns and violence, is as about as serious as you can get."
Well, not really, Judge Molloy — it's not like he blew up a nursing home or poisoned a kid. It could have been a lot more serious.
White told Judge Molloy that he had tried to stop selling the drug, but his supplier, Tomas Alvarado, forced him to continue (which sounds a little bit like the fake Walter White's "confession"). Alvarado is serving 30 years for his role in the drug ring.
Brandon White is being held on $150,000 bond and has been charged with assault with a weapon.
Several other suspects have been arrested after breaking into storage units in order to raise money to pay debts they owed to Walter White. Likely story, guys.
