'What We Do In The Shadows' is a mockumentary about New Zealand vampires that shows that even if their heart is cold and dead, they still have feelings . Written, co-directed and co-starring Jemaine Clement ('Flight Of The Conchords') and Taika Waititi ('Boy'), the hilarious horror/comedy tells the tale of how hard it is to be a vampire in this modern world.
Premiering tonight at the Event Cinemas Myer Centre, 'Flight Of The Conchords' star Rhys Darby (who plays Anton) and Taika Waititi (Viago) will be participating in a special Q&A after the film screening.

Based loosely on the short film Waititi and Clement made in 2005, it took them eight years to put into action – which proves all good things take time. Although it took them a while to get the ball rolling, it only took 5 weeks to film. Entirely improvised around a base script that Waititi and Clement wrote, they had so much hilarious footage that it took over a year to edit down into a 90 minute story.
