Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has revealed that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are likely to appear in the show's spin-off, Better Call Saul.
A prequel to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul will focus on the exploits of criminal lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) before his first meeting with Walter White (Cranston). But Cranston and Paul have expressed interest in making appearances, and Gilligan's not about to knock them back.
"Personally, I'd have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then," he told The Hollywood Reporter in a wide-ranging interview about his post-Bad career.
Gilligan also revealed that Saul, originally envisioned as a half-hour sitcom, will stick with Breaking Bad's one-hour format and will be shot in Albuquerque, where he'll bring "as much of the crew back together as possible".
"There's obviously a danger inherent in doing a spin-off," Gilligan admitted, "but I just love the character of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) so much, and part of me doesn't want to say no to this world."
Of course, we already knew that Walter White and Jesse Pinkman would be making a comeback in Sir Anthony Hopkins' fan fiction, but it's good to know we might see them on screen again, too.
