On Monday 22 June, Foxtel’s second season of 'True Detective' will debut with a new case and new cast (including Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn) on showcase.
A sophisticated, riveting adult drama and a breakout hit for HBO, the first season won critical and audience praise for its compelling storyline and vivid, award-winning performances by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
Created and written by Nic Pizzolatto, season two will feature a complex, twisting plot, playing out both across the state, and in the seedy netherworld of Vinci, a fictional city in LA County. A bizarre murder brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, who must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in order to reach the truth and find salvation in the scorched wilderness of California.
'True Detective' season two will screen Mondays from 22 June (at 3.30pm express and 7.30pm primetime encore - same day as the US).
