After 25 years, the most iconic star in the soap opera universe — Ronn Moss — is leaving The Bold And The Beautiful (and taking that ridiculous extra 'n' with him). But how to say goodbye to the legend that is Ridge Forrester? Perhaps a classy, tasteful and dignified send-off? Nah...
1. After ignoring an infrequent tingling sensation in his chin, Ridge's silicone jawline explodes during an intense three-way lovemaking session with Dr Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), killing him instantly. I think we can all agree he would have wanted it that way.
2. A car crash, towering inferno, flood and/or bear mauling leaves him in need of a complete facial reconstruction that leaves him looking like a much younger, completely different man. Alternatively, the reconstruction is a failure, and his vanity forces him to move deep into the Andes.
3. Having become dissatisfied with his life as the CEO of the Forrester Creations empire, Ridge finds solace in spirituality. He joins a rogue Scientology sect and launches himself onto a passing comet so that his soul may live forever.
4. Ridge's extensive use of high pressure tanning beds leads to him being diagnosed with skin cancer. TOPICAL.
5. A series of shocking reveals culminates in the realisation that Ridge Forrester is his own father, mother, son and daughter. In fact, all the major characters on The Bold & The Beautiful are revealed to be versions of Ridge Forrester at different stages of his life. The entire reality of the show collapses in on itself and forms a soap opera singularity, wiping it from the space/time continuum.
