Do we need a reason to run a story about Nicolas Cage’s best cinematic work? Didn’t think so.
We asked Adelaide six-piece Jimmy And The Mirrors to select from Mr Cage’s extensive back catalogue; it just happens they have a new EP, ‘Where’s Ben?’, out along with a number of live dates around the country to promote... #winning!
Without further to do... drum roll please!!!!
Con Air
Possibly Nicolas Cage's finest performance. He's just a good guy in a bad situation at 33,000 feet!! Woah! Chuck a bit of John Malkovich and John Cusack into the equation and you got yourself Hollywood action at its finest. The Rock
This movie proves that Mr Cage could mix it with the best aka Sean Connery. Of course, our man Cage steals the show and it’s hard to imagine old man Connery even had a career as the former James Bond. Daniel Craig better watch out.Face/Off
This title slightly loses points because we expected this to be Nick's opportunity to show his showman side alongside Mr Grease Lightning, Johnny Travolta. Where's the dance? Where are the songs? Mr Cage could have glittered it up a little. Less face off and more dancing shoes on please. The Family Man
Finally, the movie everyone wanted to see. A chance for Nick to show his true ‘humanistic side’. If you wanna propose to a girl and get a guaranteed YES, just put this movie on and you know what the response will be!Leaving Las Vegas
Alright, so I haven't actually seen this movie. Apparently Nicolas Cage stars as an alcoholic schmuck who writes a few pretty words or something. Anyway, he won an Academy Award for it so we had to include it as the world finally recognised Cage's incredible skills.Jimmy And The Mirrors new EP, ‘Where's Ben?’, is available now.
