Top 5 Childhood TV Shows With Hannah Rosa

The Wiggles
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The recent winner of the Brisbane heat for Telstra Road To Discovery, Brisbane’s Hannah Rosa launches her new EP, ‘Buried Alive’, with a series of east coast shows this weekend.

“I’m so excited, I can’t believe I won!” Hannah said about her Telstra Road To Discovery success. “The competition was incredible and it’s such an honour to have been selected as the winner. I didn’t expect to win but I’m looking forward to immersing myself in songwriting at the bootcamp in Melbourne.”

Hannah will now progress to a three day, music mentoring boot camp in Melbourne in October, joining 15 other hopefuls from across the country. Hannah will then take part in the semi-finals event on 24th October where ten musicians will be selected to progress to the grand final on 3rd December.

The folk, alt-country singer/ songwriter has supplied her favourite childhood television shows.

The Genie From Down Under

I loved this show. Though the special effects are probably quite dated now, I always found the juxtaposition between the Australian genies and the posh British characters really funny!

The Wiggles

It's probably not an exaggeration to say that these guys were my first musical inspirations. We had so many video cassettes of ‘The Wiggles’ and I'm pretty sure we broke all of them from over-use.

Saddle Club

This show inspired dreams of owning a pet horse. Unfortunately my parents weren't so keen, but I was lucky enough to go on a couple of horse rides when we went on holidays.

Hey Arnold

This was another cracker. To this day, my family still quote this show, specifically: "If football head here wants to go through the evidence again, then we'll go through the evidence again”. I dunno, maybe you had to be there… haha!

Round The Twist

I always enjoyed reading Paul Jennings' books, so it's not really any surprise that this TV show was my favourite! One of the best episodes was when a boy weed on a tree and ended up falling pregnant and giving birth to a tree-spirit baby. Hands down, my favourite TV theme song too!
