Premier Australian pop culture convention Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is bringing more fan favourites to our shores as the Sydney and Perth events approach for June.
The Ghost Who Walks, Billy Zane, is back to slam evil. Best known for his titular performance in ‘The Phantom’, as well as Cal Hockley in ‘Titanic’, Billy also recently starred in ‘Waltzing With Brando’, alongside another Supa-star slated to appear at the Sydney event.
Co-starring as Madame Leroy in the 2024 biographical drama is Tia Carrere, who will make her first-ever appearance at the convention. She played Cassandra Wong in ‘Wayne’s World’, and can also be heard as Nani in the original ‘Lilo & Stitch’. . . Plus, she’ll reunite with her Ohana in the new live-action version, as Mrs Kekoa!
Due to filming commitments, Katee Sackhoff will now appear exclusively in Sydney. This may disappoint Perth fans, but there’s good news for those following the Way Of The Mandalore, with ‘Star Wars’ legend Temuera Morrison joining exclusively in Perth, alongside co-star Rena Owen who’ll appear in both cities.

For ‘Longmire’ fans, the titular sheriff Robert Taylor will saddle up for the tour, alongside co-stars Sackhoff and Adam Bartley. Robert previously appeared in ‘NCIS: Origins’ and ‘The Matrix’.
Supa-Fans can also prepare to get ‘Lost’ in the realms of pop culture prestige, as the festival welcomes Evangeline Lilly (Kate Austen) who is also part of the MCU as Hope van Dyne aka Wasp in ‘Ant-Man’.
The convention also welcomes back the titanically talented Bryce Papenbrook, appearing exclusively in Perth. He’s renowned for his starring roles in some of the biggest (literally) titles in anime. He’s lent his voice to Eren Yeager in ‘Attack On Titan’, and Inosuke in ‘Demon Slayer’.
Literary legends charging into both cities include ‘Powerless’ author Lauren Roberts, Lynette Noni (‘The Medoran Chronicles’), Luke Arnold (‘Fetch Phillips’), and Alan Baxter (‘Blood Covenant’), as well as New Dawn Publishing’s Madeline Te Whiu (‘The Soul Thief’ trilogy), Juliet Marillier (‘The Amber Owl’) and C.C Davie (‘The Wytchling Chronicles’).
Returning authors include Kate Forsyth and Megan White, who will represent New Dawn in Sydney, opposite Leanbh Pearson, J.M. Merryt, Hayden Fryer and graphic novelist Stephen Kok.

Comic fans won’t want to miss the likes of Jon Sommariva, David Yardin, Mark Raats, Scott Wilson, and Wolfgang Bylsma in both cities, while Eisner award-winner Tom Taylor, Ashley Wood, and Ben Matthews, appearing exclusively in Perth.
In the realm of local legends, Supa-fans can get excited to see Australian icon John Jarratt, his ‘The Possessed’ co-star Lincoln Lewis, ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy’s Bombur, Stephen Hunter, and exclusively for Sydney Alex Proyas, the director of ‘The Crow’ and ‘Dark City’.
Sydney fans can get their game on, as voice actor Jay Anthony Franke (‘Deus Ex’) is joined by rising Aussie talents Allanah Fitzgerald and co-star John Whinfield.
