Based on the extraordinary character at the centre of the iconic Roald Dahl book ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’ comes ‘Wonka’, the wondrous origin story of the chocolatier.
‘Wonka’ tells of how Willy Wonka, the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolatier came to be. The film comes from Paul King (‘Paddington’ films), David Heyman (‘Harry Potter’ films, ‘Gravity’, ‘Fantastic Beasts’), and producers Alexandra Derbyshire (‘Paddington’, ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’) and Luke Kelly (‘The Witches’).
It’s an intoxicating mix of magic, music, mayhem and emotion, starring Timothée Chalamet in the title role – a young Willy Wonka, chock-full of ideas and determined to change the world one delectable bite at a time.
