This Is What The Flash Will Look Like

DC Comics and Warner Bros have revealed the costume The Flash will be wearing in his new TV show, and it... certainly looks like The Flash, alright.

The other DC Comics TV shows have seemed a little embarrassed of their comic book origins (in 'Smallville', Superman became a dude in a jacket; in 'Arrow', Green Arrow became a dude in a hoodie), but they don't seem to be holding back with this one.

The costume was designed by three-time Oscar winner (and ten-time nominee) Colleen Atwood, whose credits include 'Alice In Wonderland', 'Memoirs Of A Geisha', 'Chicago', 'Snow White And The Huntsman', 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street' and 'Sleepy Hollow'.

"I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash's iconic suit," said director David Nutter.

'The Flash' — starring Grant Gustin in the title role — is in production now. It hasn't been confirmed that he'll eventually be teaming up with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in a 'Justice League' movie, but they probably didn't hire Colleen Atwood to design the suit for nothing, you know?
