"We're going to crash the world, do you hear me!?"

A cross between 'Inception', 'Devs' and 'Minority Report', 'The Tangle' is a new sci-fi thriller that depicts a futuristic world controlled by nanobots.

Swarms of micro-drones fill the air, the water, even your own blood. In this world, it is impossible to keep a secret anywhere but in your S.O.L. (Secure OnTangle Line), a quantum-encrypted hard drive implanted in your brain.

The Tangle is overseen by a secret government agency called A.S.P. (Army of Simply Purity).

When one of their field agents turns up dead (the first murder in California in three years), two A.S.P. agents focus on a private detective who worked with the agency to set-up a programme called Cleopatra Squad – Cleopatra created the Tangle.

The investigation uncovers other secrets and conspiracies leading to a tangled web of deceit and half truths as the agents race to unlock the secrets of the case.

Written, directed by and starring Christopher Soren Kelly, 'The Tangle's ensemble cast features Joshua Bitton ('The Night Of', 'The Pacific'), Nicole da Silva ('Wentworth', 'Rush'), and Jessica Graham.

'The Tangle' will be available on selected VODs from 19 March.
