With the US Presidential campaign continuing to create head-shaking, did-they-really-say-or-post-that headlines every day, it's hard to escape the wall of election noise.
And so it is today, with 'The Simpsons' weighing in on the 2016 election with their usual biting, satirical outlook. In the clip, '3am', Marge can't make love until Homer and her have decided who they are going to vote for. As Homer says: "It's the American way."
It's pretty clear which way The Simpsons writers want the election to run. A TV advertisement poses the questions: 'It's 3am. The phone is ringing in The White House. Who do you want to answer that phone? Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.'

While Hilary aggressively declares to Bill that "from now on, the call is always for me" when Bill attempts to join her in the 'situational room', Trump is too busy tweeting to take the call… when he does he has a list of ridiculous demands (disbanding NATO, ordering scrambled eggs in a gold plate).
By the time he is ready (hours have passed and a lap dog has been positioned as his hairpiece), Trump's told he's too late and the Chinese forces are advancing. He responds: "Build are wall… in the ocean loser!"
