Get ready Australia!
After three years of no Australian housewives on our screens, the cast of ‘The Real Housewives Of Melbourne’ season five is here.
With production set to kick off pretty soon, the cast has been shaken up and there are some new ladies to get to know.
Sadly, iconic OGs Gina Liano and Lydia Schiavello won’t be appearing in the new season. This comes after a season five cast was announced last year, before the pandemic. That cast included Gina and Lydia, but both women have now taken to social media to let fans know this has since changed.
“The changes of this world caused me to pause and re-evaluate my life,” Lydia wrote on Instagram. “I will miss the camaraderie the interaction with viewers and the challenges that my fellow cast members presented.”
Gina echoed these sentiments.
“An extra big thank you to all my gorgeous followers who have travelled through the last four glorious seasons of #RHOMelbourne with me and made it the most enjoyable ride.”
We will miss you, ladies! With that being said, get ready to meet your new cast! It’s Janet Roach, Jackie Gillies, Gamble Breaux, Cherry Dipietrantonio, Kyla Kirkpatrick, Anjali Rao and Simone Elliott.
The newest of these ladies is Simone Elliott, a successful businesswoman juggling a high-flying corporate job with raising two children and studying for her MBA. She joins previously-announced Cherry, a qualified personal trainer and mother of three; Kyla, self-made businesswoman and ‘Champagne Dame’; and multi award-winning news anchor and mother of one Anjali Rao.
Meanwhile, fur baby lover and singer-songwriter Gamble Breaux returns alongside high profile psychic Jackie Gillies and Raw Essentials Tea co-founder Janet Roach.
The fifth season of ‘The Real Housewives Of Melbourne’ will air on Fox Arena at a TBA date.
