It's a familiar concept, and even the title draws on a film we all know and love. . . But 'Freaky' takes body swapping and gives it a new, dark edge.
Teenage girl Millie Kessler (Kathryn Newton) is just trying to survive high school and the cruelty of the popular kids. But that becomes the least of her worries when she becomes the newest target of the town's infamous serial killer, The Butcher (Vince Vaughn).
When The Butcher's mystical, ancient dagger forces him and Millie to wake up in each other's bodies, Millie has just 24 hours to make the switch back to herself before the change is permanent. She now looks like a towering psychopath, while The Butcher is able to masquerade as a high school teenage girl.
With help from her friends Nyla (Celeste O'Connor), Joshua (Misha Osherovich) and crush Booker (Uriah Shelton), Millie races against the clock to reverse the curse, while The Butcher discovers that having a female teen body is the perfect cover for a killing spree.
