Marvel has just taken things to the next level. After months of teasing with still images, toy designs and brief clips, the full 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' trailer is here, and one thing is abundantly clear — this is Marvel's 'Star Wars'.
The film stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill (Star-Lord), the scruffy human in charge of a ragtag gang of alien adventurers. While the characters (including a talking tree and a trigger-happy racoon) won't be familiar to all but the most hardcore comic book fans, this trailer seems to prove that they'll have no trouble connecting with audiences.

'Guardians Of The Galaxy' hits Australian cinemas on August 7. 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', Marvel's other 2014 release, will precede it on April 3. (And let's not forget Sony's 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' on April 17.)
