The follow-up to James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, the highest grossing film of all time, lands in cinemas December – and we have a first look to entice us for its release.
Set more than a decade after the events of the first film (which was also released more than a decade ago – 13 years in fact!), ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
While the new teaser trailer doesn’t offer much in the way of describing the plot, it does show off just some of the stunning visuals audiences can expect to see when it hits cinemas.
The film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet.
The original ‘Avatar’ will be re-released in cinemas on 22 September, just in time to become re-acquainted with the story and the universe of ‘Avatar’.
‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ is in cinemas 15 December.
