Jeff Goldblum — everybody's favourite unlikely '90s action hero — has confirmed that he's in talks to appear in 'Independence Day 2'.
"Yeah, they've talked to me about it," Goldblum told The Huffington Post while promoting the latest Wes Anderson joint, 'The Grand Budapest Hotel', "and I've talked to them about it and they're excited and I'm anxious and eager to see — I haven't read anything — what they cook up. You know, I think they're trying to put it together."
Sadly, Goldblum also revealed that he probably won't be appearing in 'Jurassic World', the forthcoming 'Jurassic Park' sequel, for the same reason he didn't appear in 'Jurassic Park III'. "Nobody asked me," he said.
'Independence Day 2' is due to arrive in 2016, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original film. Bill Pullman is scheduled to reprise his role, but Will Smith has decided to take a pass.
