St Kilda Film Festival Opens 2013 Competitions

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Calling all budding filmmakers! The St Kilda Film Festival is now welcoming entries for its 30th anniversary festival, to be held next year in the City of Port Phillip.

Prizes can be won in three categories: the Top 100 Short Film competition, the SoundKILDA Music Video competition, and the Under the Radar competition for under 21s. Awards range from Best Director, Best Animation, and Best Cinematography, to Best Indigenous Filmmaking and Best Comedy and many more.

This year's festival has been lengthened from five to nine days, making it the biggest ever. As well as Australian movie-making talent, there will also be showings of international short films and an expanded Filmmaker Development Program for those keen to learn.

Dates to be announced.
