Opportunities for Australian musicians to appear on Australian screens have been fairly limited in recent years — either you subject yourself to the comic stylings of Julia Zemiro, or you stay off the tube.
That's about to change, though, with confirmation that venerable ABC quiz show 'Spicks And Specks' will return in 2014. No Adam, Myf and Alan this time around — they'll regenerate into new host Josh Earl and new team captains Ella Hooper and Adam Richard.
Earl was a regular guest on the show, while Hooper (former Killing Heidi singer and current megababe) and Richard (a comedian and former triple j gossip reporter) appeared on the final episode of the original series in 2011. (So it actually is like a proper regeneration, then.)
The format will reportedly be refreshed, but don't worry — it'll still be more or less the same as 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks'.
