Seven Finally Dumps Today Tonight

Today tonight. No tomorrow.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

In a real coup for shonky builders, dole bludgers, immigrants and 'the youth', Channel Seven has confirmed it's axeing 'Today Tonight'.

The sensationalist current affairs show will be replaced by a one hour news bulletin in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

In an email announcing the changes, Seven CEO Tim Worner said the show's staff will contribute to "news investigations and features" in the hour long bulletin. "We see this as an exciting opportunity to serve our news audience in a better way," Worner wrote.

"I want to take this chance to pay tribute to Today Tonight and the TT team on the East Coast," Worner continued. "Over many years, and as recently as last week, the program has broken big stories, kept consumers informed and held people to account."

Sadly, the show will go on in Adelaide and Perth.
