'Secrets Of Playboy' premieres on Foxtel 24 April.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Although often polarising, Playboy became one of the biggest global brands of the past half century, and for many a beacon for the sexual revolution of the '60s and '70s.

However in today's modern world, the hidden truths behind the fable and philosophy of the Playboy empire are being questioned, and Hefner's own exuberant life and the role the brand played in contemporary culture's view of power and sexuality are in the spotlight.

It's within this context that a new 10-part docoseries, 'Secrets Of Playboy', will examine the entertainment empire spawned by Hefner almost 70 years ago delving into the dark side of a secret world that existed away from prying eyes.

The ultimate bachelor, at the peak of Playboy's success Hefner built the Playboy Mansion in the California Hills; it quickly became synonymous as a mecca for sex and good times. But four years after Hefner's death, many women attached to the brand as well as former staff members are speaking out.

'Secrets Of Playboy' features interviews with former Director of Playmate Promotions Miki Garcia as well as past girlfriends of Hefner's including Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Sondra Theodore.

Hefner's personal valet Stefan Tetenbaum, Bunny Mother PJ Masten, Playboy Mansion West resident Jennifer Saginor, and members of Hefner's staff and inner circle, including his personal bodyguard and butler, also feature in the series.

'Secrets Of Playboy' premieres on Foxtel's Fox Docos channel 24 April.
