Ever found yourself thinking, 'Hey, whatever happened to that Freddie Mercury biopic starring Sacha Baron Cohen?

Deadline Hollywood reports that Sacha Baron Cohen has dropped out of the movie. "The band wanted to make more of a PG movie about Queen," editor Nikki Finke wrote, "while Cohen was counting on a gritty R-rated tell-all centered around the gifted gay singer."
Director Tom Hooper, who previously worked with Baron Cohen on Les Miserables, has reportedly pulled out of the project as well. Because, really, if you can't make a Freddie Mercury movie with Sacha Baron Cohen, who could you make it with?
No potential replacements have been announced, though Robert De Niro is still producing, and he could probably give himself an overbite and a dye job if he absolutely had to.
