The Russian Resurrection film festival kicks off in Perth tonight, and we've got all your session times right here.
With 2012 being the bicentenary of Russia's 1812 defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte and 70 years of Australia- Russia diplomatic relations, Russia celebrate the only way it knows how.
By throwing the largest Russian Cinema festival outside of Russia in Australia.
Featuring modern romantic- comedies, cartoons, fairytales, bio- pics as well as epic war stories, there will be something for everyone.
Russian Resurrection includes film adaptions of Chekhov's 'The Duel' and the four- hour long marathon Tolstoy's 'War & Peace'. 'Match', a film based on a true story of love, football and war. 'Vysotsky', the most successful Russian box office film of 2011- 2012, is a film about Russian's Bob Dylan, the famous musician and poet Vladimir Vysotsky. A spy thriller creatively named 'Spy' and the rom- com set to tug on your heart- strings, 'My Boyfriend is an Angel'.
Going for a week, Russian Resurrection will give you culture cred and with english subtitles on all films, there really is no excuse not to go.
