Reel Life: WA Film Industry News May 2021

'The Neon Across The Ocean'
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

At Revelation Perth International Film Festival, the cinema never sleeps.

Blind Date Music Competition
WA musicians would like to meet filmmakers for fun and friendship, maybe more. If by “more” you mean “award-winning video clips”!
Musicians including Ashes of Autumn, Good News Now We Can Eat All The Vampires, Rose Parker, The Terror Adaptors! and Donna Simpson of The Waifs are all signed up. If you want to see your work on the silver screen at a gala night during July’s edition of Rev, this is your chance.
This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Sign up closes soon, so register now on the Rev website.

REVonDEMAND
With us all unexpectedly spending more time at home lately, it’s lucky that REVonDEMAND has more new films than you could shake a COVID testing kit at.
Joining our special streaming service is a Director’s Collection featuring great up-and-coming director Matthew Victor Pastor. We screened his short film 'Fun Times' last year and will be showing his feature 'The Neon Across the Ocean' this year. Some of his other titles include 'A Bigger Jail', 'Repent Or Perish!', 'Maganda! Pinoy Boy vs Milk Man', 'Melodrama/Random/Melbourne!' and 'Butterfly Flower'.
With a rich mix of indie cinema, biopics, relationships (including some of the best LGBTQI+ movies) and music, REVonDEMAND should be your online channel of choice.
