Programme Announced
The word is out – we have 40 feature narrative and documentary films headed your way next month. Joining them are countless short films and special events which we know will blow your socks off. Starting with 'Freshman Year', let us take you on a journey through relationships ('The Killing of Two Lovers') to retirement ('Some Kind Of Heaven') and to the ultimate rest ('Meanwhile On Earth'). We have art and design ('Aalto', 'Kenny Scharf: When Worlds Collide'), classic restoration ('Out Of The Blue'), music ('King Rocker', 'Delia Derbyshire'), social justice ('Rebel Dykes', 'Miss Marx', 'End Of The Line: The Women Of Standing Rock') before we descend into utter anarchy with 'We’re Not Here To F... Spiders'. Tickets on sale now.

Perth Cinema News
If you’ve seen the recently released 'A Quiet Place Part II', you’ll understand why there is simply nothing like watching a film on the big screen – the way it was intended! Here’s a few June events to consider: Black Maria Film Collective bring you an Australian first – an underground backwater double feature – the 1965 Southern-fried hillbilly horror 'The Nest Of The Cuckoo Birds' and a baby-faced Dennis Hopper in 'Night Tide'. 24 June at Luna Leederville. Girls School Cinema also have a heap of double features; such as their Monsters With Mullets: 'The Lost Boys' and 'Beetlejuice', 90s Sass: '10 Things I Hate About You' and 'The Parent Trap' and Jazz Hands: 'Cabaret' and 'All That Jazz'. Plus there’s a 'Harry Potter' themed trivia night on 19 June where you can test your brain power against Hermione. Good luck with that. The Germans are coming to town with a feast of cinema fare from one of Europe’s most prolific filmmaking nations. It’ll be fabelhaft! The German Film Festival runs from 3-20 June at Palace Cinemas Raine Square, Luna Cinemas Leederville and Luna on SX. Get comfy with Retro Sundays Cosy Afternoon Classics at The Windsor Cinema throughout the winter months with titles such as 'Psycho', 'The Birds', 'An American In Paris' and 'War And Peace'.
