Revelation 2025 – Call for entries
The 2025 Revelation Perth International Film Festival is now open for submissions! We invite filmmakers from around the world to showcase their unique voices and bold visions in this celebrated celebration of independent cinema. Whether you're a seasoned director or a first-time filmmaker, this is your chance to present your work to an enthusiastic and engaged audience. We are seeking innovative, thought-provoking films across all genres, including feature films, documentaries, shorts, and experimental works. Submit your film today and be a part of one of the most exciting film festivals in Australia, where creativity and storytelling take centre stage! The deadline closes on 1 March, 2025. City of Vincent Film Project
The winners of the City of Vincent Film Project funding have been announced. The submissions saw a diverse range of entries, with each film offering a unique perspective on life in the City of Vincent. Congrats to 'Third Space', 'Vincent Fediterranean' and 'Sweet Oblivion'.

Stubbornly Here
Don't miss this locally made indie film from Western Australia, which recently won Best Feature Film (Budget Under $1m) at the 2024 WA Screen Culture Awards. Set in a small Australian town on the last day of school, 'Stubbornly Here' follows Year 11 students Sunny, the idealist, and PJ, the abrasive rebel, as they witness several classmates mysteriously vanish at a bus stop. No noise, no explosion – just an empty space where they once stood. A year passes with no answers or solutions, but thousands of children under 18 continue to disappear without a trace. Interstellar

A Complete Unknown Virtual in conversation

The Revival House
At Rev, we’re all about embracing new ideas and fresh experiences, and we couldn’t be more excited about the incredible journey that The Revival House team has taken at the Como Theatre. Perth’s very own revival cinema is bringing the magic of real film back to life, screening classics and hidden gems on 16mm and 35mm prints. It’s been amazing to watch them grow these past months, and incredible to see Perth show up, session after session, to enjoy the true cinematic experience.

The Perth Festival film programme has partnered with Luna Cinemas to bring Cine Wonders to young Perth audiences. This includes a selection of animations and inspiring documentaries – some of the best children’s cinema from around the world. They will also have Sensorium Sessions for children and caregivers featuring low lighting, breakout space, and other accessible options.
