We did it! After a bumpy start as WA adjusted to the ever-changing COVID restrictions, Revelation Perth International Film Festival 2021 has come to a triumphant end.
“Despite the media world changing under our feet in Perth and elsewhere, local audiences were out in force where they could be for this year’s event. It was a whole other experience, but like everything in the media world now needs to be, it was utterly authentic and connected deeply.”
- Richard Sowada, Director, Revelation Perth International Film Festival.
City Of Vincent Film Project
We’ll be opening the call for entries of our fantastic collaboration with the City of Vincent via the City of Vincent Film Project in the next few weeks. Now in its fifth year, this brilliant initiative commissions three short non-fiction films to be made in and around the City of Vincent with each receiving $7,000 to produce a work between five and ten minutes. Films from previous years have gone on to great success, winning awards at film fests internationally and through the mentoring process we undertake with the recipients, the films are of an exceptionally high standard. We don't mind saying the deadline for submissions is mighty short, but have no fear, you'll have the opportunity to submit past this date. Stay tuned for the official green light to get your submissions in!

WA Films for REVSTREAM
Revelation Film Festival has busily been creating an online treasure trove of Western Australian-made films. We currently already have our own screening platform – REVSTREAM – with close to 200 international feature and documentary films online with many available to international audiences. Supporting and developing the local screen industry and audiences has always been at our core, so if you're a WA filmmaker and have something you'd like to include, we'd love to host it in our Made In WA section. There's already a ton of WA shorts, docs and features in the overall catalogue, but we'd like more. Now is the perfect opportunity to raid your cupboards, your desktop, your hard drive and everywhere else for those projects which have not seen the light of day for quite a while. If it's a short and already online, send us a link. If it's a feature or feature doc that's already available for free online, send us a link. If you want us to include a film with a rent or buy option, simply drop us a line and we'll send an agreement, grab a file from you and we're off! Hopefully we can bring your film to audiences all over the world.

Batman
Take a break from all the doom, gloom and universe ending stakes that come with superhero movies these days. Join the Black Maria Collective as they escape to the brightly coloured, meticulously labelled, onomatopoeic and nonsensically riddled world of 1966’s 'Batman: The Movie', filled with exploding sharks, exploding bombs, explosive one liners and the a truly obscene amount of Dutch angles. Friday 6 August, 6.30pm at Johnny Ma Studios.
