The folks at Revelation Perth International Film Festival have only just brushed off the crumbs of their respective Christmas puddings from their respective chins, and are already up and running for 2021.
City Of Vincent Film Project
First cab off the rank is opening the call for entries of our fantastic collaboration with the City of Vincent via the City of Vincent Film Project. Now in its fourth year, this brilliant initiative commissions three short non-fiction films to be made in and around the City of Vincent with each receiving $7,000 to produce a work between 5-10 minutes. Films from previous years have gone on to great success, winning awards at film fests internationally and through the mentoring process we undertake with the recipients, the films are of an exceptionally high standard. We don't mind saying the deadline for submissions is mighty short, but have no fear, you'll have the opportunity to submit past this date. For guidelines and info head to the City Of Vincent website.
International Call For Entries Now Open
We love this time of the year when we throw the doors open to the international creative community and call for films of all types, all durations and all genres. From our call for entries, we programme a significant part of the event, including virtually the entire short film programme, so we invite all filmmakers to enter their works. Revelation has an enviable international reputation in its tightly-curated nature, its leaning toward experimental and social justice works and its signature-driven character – so send us your work before 1 April and we'd love to take a look.

WA Films For REVOnDEMAND
Revelation Film Festival is creating an online treasure trove of Western Australian-made films. We currently already have our own screening platform – REVonDEMAND – with close to 200 international feature and documentary films online with many available to international audiences. Supporting and developing the local screen industry and audiences has always been at our core, so if you're a WA filmmaker and have something you'd like to include, we'd love to host it in our Made In WA section. There's already a tonne of WA shorts, docs and features in the overall catalogue, but we'd like more. Now is the perfect opportunity to raid your cupboards, your desktop, your hard drive and everywhere else for those projects which have not seen the light of day for quite a while. If it's a short and already online, send us a link. If it's a feature or feature doc that's already available for free online, send us a link. If you want us to include a film with a rent or buy option simply drop us a line and we'll send an agreement, grab a file from you and we're off! Hopefully we can bring your film to audiences all over the world.
“What’s often sad is the number of fabulous films over the years that have simply vanished from any form of public view. We hope something like this as part of REVonDEMAND, can bring these old, new or lost works to local, national and international audiences and demonstrate the great diversity of WA filmmaking talent and traditions,” Revelation Director Richard Sowada says.
