Protestors Hijack Q&A

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Given the panelists that frequent the show, it's kind of surprising that this doesn't happen more often.

A live 'Q&A' broadcast was interrupted by student protestors last night. The group unfurled a banner and unleashed a few chants in the direction of Education Minister Christopher Pyne over his proposed cuts to higher education.

Rather than let the whole thing play out live on air, ABC briefly replaced the broadcast with an old episode of 'Q&A' featuring a performance by Katie Noonan, because, sure, why not? Once the protestors had been evicted from ABC's Ultimo studios, the broadcast returned to the air.

Technical Difficulties 1For the record, this is still the greatest hijacked broadcast of all time.
